The Biebster has spoken to MTV about working on his second proper album.
Bieber has said that he’s in the planning and recording stages of his next album, the follow-up to his only real album My World 2.0 of last year.
There have been remix versions and acoustic versions but new material is long overdue.
While he’s well versed in collaborations (with Usher, primarily, but also Kanye West, Ludacris, Sean Kingston and more), this time he says, “"I want to work a lot with myself”.
“And [I want to] write a lot myself,” he added. “I will be working with a lot of other producers and stuff like that, but I'm just writing a lot, writing on tour."
He told MTV, “[I'm] writing about how I feel and producing. I've been producing on my laptop and on my computer. I've been really into it and, hopefully, this next album will be huge."
There’s no doubt that it will be, but he said that he hasn’t set any deadlines for himself with album number two. He also said that he wants to keep away from any specified genre.
A lot of the new material was written on acoustic guitar, and he specified “I'm not gonna really limit myself. I think music is music, and genre — I mean, I know there's country music, there's rock music, but my music is different. My voice is not meant for any style. I just want to make music."
My World 2.0 was released last February and has gone double platinum in Australia, the US, the Philippines and Canada, and gone diamond in Brazil.
