Justin Bieber is alive, at least on the US chart. After America watched Bieber gunned down on CSI earlier this week, the Canadian pop star has resurrected for the US album chart.
Justin Bieber ‘Never Say Never: The Remixes’ sold 161,000 units in America in the past week. That was enough for Bieber jump to the top of the Billboard chart.
‘Never Say Never: the Remixes’ is actually a 7 track E.P., not an album, but Billboard registers any disc with 5 tracks or more as an album.
The resurrection of Justin Bieber came a few days after he was seen as teenager killer Jason McCann in CSI. Bieber played the character in the season opening last September and reprised the character for a dramatic exit when CSI’s Nick Stokes guns him down.
The death of Bieber was expected to also be a ratings killer for CBS but only generated a moderate increase for the 11-year old TV show.
Bieber’s songs were also featured in a episode of Glee in the past week. It was one of Glee’s lowest rating shows ever with ratings dropping 9% on the previous week.
