Roger Waters will perform his classic Pink Floyd album ‘The Wall’ in Australia in 2012.
Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney have been locked in for dates starting in Perth on January 27.
‘The Wall’ was Pink Floyd’s 11th studio album and went on to become one of the biggest selling albums of all time.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) ranks ‘The Wall’ as the 4th biggest selling album in the USA behind 3. Led Zeppelin ‘IV’, 2. Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ and Eagles ‘Their Greatest Hits’.
‘The Wall’ is a rock opera set around the character Pink who was born during World War II and his father was killed in the war. He grows up with abusive teachers and an over protective mother to become a big rock star whose marriage breaks down and leads to his withdrawal from society.
