Roger Waters fans in Melbourne and Sydney have been quick to pick up tickets to his acclaimed Australian tour of ‘The Wall’ in February and due to huge demand - from ticket presales alone - an extra show has been added in each city.
In Melbourne, a show has been added on Wednesday, February 8 at Rod Laver Arena and Sydney gets an extra show on Wednesday February 15. Tickets to both shows are on sale Monday, July 11.
The show has been acclaimed as one of the greatest stadium shows ever devised, and if his tour a few years back of ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ is anything to go by, this is most definitely not a show to be missed.
The tour is in support of one of the highest selling albums of all time, Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’, which was released in 1979 and still appears regularly in the yearly charts across the world.
The album was almost entirely written by Waters himself, with the exception of three songs co-written with his Pink Floyd bandmate David Gilmour and an orchestral piece called ‘The Trial’ which was co-written with the orchestral arranger Bob Ezrin.
