Dates have just been announced for country icon Dolly Parton’s Australian tour.
Chugg Entertainment teased us on twitter yesterday but came good today with the announcement of nine Australian dates for Dolly Parton’s Better Day World Tour.
Dolly will be playing massive stadium shows in her first Australian tour for almost 30 years, rightly so considering her decades of success, which includes 25 number one singles and over forty Country Top 10 albums.
This and her history as a songwriter, actress, businesswoman, philanthropist and one of the rare people who have their personal theme park, makes Parton a singular music icon.
The Better Day World Tour is to promote her 43rd studio album of the same name, and runs through the US and Europe before coming to Australia.
Visa card holders will be able to get a crack at tickets early, from 9am Tuesday 14 June to 5pm Thursday 16 June. Everyone else can buy tickets from 9am Monday 20 June.
