Tripped out rock exports Tame Impala and newbies Split Seconds scored four gongs each at the WA Music Industry Awards.
Perth’s music community got together at The Bakery in Northridge on the weekend to celebrate the spectacular acts making tunes out West.
Understandably, Tame Impala were big winners, taking home the WAMi Award for Most Popular Act, Most Popular Live Act, Best Rock Act and Kevin Parker of the band scored Best Guitarist.
The other big winner was the mostly unknown Split Seconds, who managed four of their own for Favourite Newcomer, Most Promising New Act, Best Indie Pop Act and singer Sean Pollard for Best Male Vocalist with only an EP to their name.
Big stars Birds Of Tokyo only managed to take home Most Popular Album and Best Instrumentalist in Glenn Sarangapany who is also in Sons Of Rico.
