80s and 90s R&B star Johnny Gill is about to release his first solo album in 16 years.
Gill was a one-time member of New Edition joining the group in 1987. He then teamed with Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat for LSG. Gill’s 90’s hits include ‘My, My, My’ (USA #10) and ‘Rub You The Wrong Way’ (USA #3).
His last studio album was ‘Let’s Get The Mood Right’ (USA #32) in 1996. The new record is called ‘Still Winning’.
“It’s a blessing to be able to record again after 16 years, and I’m excited for my fans to enjoy the new music,” Gill said in a statement.
‘In The Mood’ is the first single from ‘Still Winning’. The album was produced by Wyclef Jean, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Bryan Michael Cox and Troy Taylor.
