Mark Webber, guitarist from the recently reformed Pulp, has said that he hopes to “avoid murdering [Pulp’s] own songs”.
Webber - not to be confused with the Australian Formula 1 driver - said in a recent interview with The Times “Worse than someone doing a bad cover version is someone murdering their own songs years later. We hope to avoid that pitfall.
“We’re not talking about what we’re doing until we’ve done it in front of people. It’s better to do something rather than talk about it.”
The band are going to play their first show since reforming. Their official site claims they’re re-learning the old songs by watching YouTube covers.
