Chocolate Starfish have reformed for a few shows in July and a few more in October.
The original line-up featuring Adam Thompson on vocals, Zoran Romic on guitar, John ‘Stones’ Nixon on bass, Darren Danielson on drums and Norman Falvo on keys, will play Geelong and Melbourne in July followed by two shows in Queensland in October.
Chocolate Starfish broke up 14 years ago after recording two albums and a top 20 hit with a cover of Carly Simon’s ‘You’re So Vain’.
The albums ‘Chocolate Starfish’ (1994) and ‘Box’ (1995) were both produced by Pseudo Echo’s Brian Canham.
They had six Top 50 singles and played over 700 gigs between 1993 and 1997.
Darren and Zoran work together as Fur Management. They represent artists like Boom Crash Opera, Courtney Conway and Jaime Robbie Reyne. A recent reconnection with Adam not only lead to reunion talks with all original members but also to new music for release later this year when the two albums are reissued.
Chocolate Starfish will perform on:
July 14, Geelong, National
July 16, Melbourne, The Corner
October, Cairns, Reef Casino
