Fans and friends of drummer Wally Ingram were treated to the first public Crowded House performance on Wednesday night (January 31).
Neil Finn and Nick Seymour made an unexpected and unscheduled appearance on stage at the Ingram benefit and performed 'Don't Dream It's Over' and 'Weather With You'.Just last week, Undercover announced the reformation of Crowded House with the first announced show being in April at Coachella.
For the Ingram gig, Finn and Seymour flew in that day from New Zealand, where they had been auditioning drummers for the new line-up. After a week of try-outs in Melbourne, Finn decided to look further and has included New Zealand and Los Angeles into the audition process.
Finn was a friend of session muso Ingram, who is suffering from cancer.
His benefit featured performances from Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and Garbage.
