The mysterious Melbourne soul/funk/big beat supergroup Record Producer offer a new EP and video.
The identities of the four musicians behind the big beat soul outfit Record Producer remain secret.
There’s bandleader Khulio 'The Jaz' Englesius, “former guitarist from a well known rock band” 8 Bit Martinez, electronic tweaker and “international remixer” Cisco Fuentes, and soul vocalist Mach Loven.
While they aren’t saying who they are, they still sound tasty – mashing up funky hip-hop and jazzy lounge much like The Go! Team.
Previous tunes ‘The Way’ and ‘Good News’ have been playlisted on triplej and now they return with the ‘Kitty Katt’ EP and a jazzy new video for the title track.
The EP features the title track, ‘Salamander’, old single ‘The Way’, and a remix of ‘Good News’.
It’s a precursor to a full album called The Way, which will be released later in 2011.
