No Eminem, no Bruno Mars – hip-hopper B.o.B. says he’s going it alone on his second album.
On his debut The Adventures of Bobby Ray, B.o.B broke through with a little help from his friends – namely Lupe Fiasco, T.I., Janelle Monae, Bruno Mars, Hayley Williams of Paramore, Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and some dude called Eminem.
This time, his producer Jim Jonsin told MTV News that B.o.B. is backing himself.
"What Bob wanted to do was go into the lab himself and spend his time creating what he wanted his album to have, the direction he wanted,” says Jonsin. “So we're waiting on him to come back with that house that he's built so we can go ahead and put all the fixtures in and try to help with it."
He added, "He does have his ideas and his direction, and everyone feeds off of that. The A&Rs, the label knows, [label manager T.I.] Tip knows, I know where he's going. We just gotta hear it, and then we can help him with it."
There’s no word on a release date for a new album but it’s surely going to be big, following the gold status of his debut and multi-platinum singles ‘Nothin’ On You’ and ‘Airplanes’.
