Four of the early Rolling Stones albums from the 60s are about to be reissued as remasters from the bands ABKCO era.
The albums are ‘Out of Our Heads (UK)’ (1965), ‘Aftermath’ (1966), ‘Between The Buttons’ (1967) and ‘Beggars Banquet’ (1968).
‘Out Of Our Heads’ was when the Stones were still mainly a covers band. It includes “Good Times” (Sam Cooke), “Hitch Hike” (Marvin Gaye), “Mercy Mercy” (Don Covay & The Goodtimers), “Cry To Me’ (Solomon Burke), “Oh Baby (We’ve Got A Good Thing Goin’)” (Barbara Lynn), “She Said Yeah” (Roddy Jackson), “Talkin’ ‘Bout You” (Chuck Berry), “ and “That’s How Strong My Love Is” (Otis Redding).”
‘Aftermath’ was their first album to feature all-original material. Songs included ‘Mothers Little Helper’, ‘Under My Thumb’ and ‘Out Of Time’.
‘Between The Buttons UK’ featured the first song with Keith Richards on lead vocals, ‘Connection’.
‘Beggars Banquet’ kicked off what was to become their bands finest moment with songs like ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ and ‘Street Fighting Man’.
