Nick Cave and Neko Case have covered a Zombies classic for a new episode of vampire series True Blood.
Billboard reports that the indie icons got together to cover the ethereal ‘60s Zombies hit ‘She’s Not There’ for the cult vampire-themed TV series.
'She's Not There' was the Zombies' debut single, hit number two on the Billboard chart in 1964 and has been covered scores of times over the years.
The song will replace the hit 1977 cover of the song by Santana that was requested in the script.
The music supervisor for the show, Gary Calmer, revealed the news at MusicExpo in Hollywood yesterday.
He said, “You always want to serve the show, but in the back of my mind I'm always thinking about the soundtrack.”
The fourth series of True Blood will air on June 26.
