The first Jane’s Addiction album in 8 years has been anointed ‘The Great Escape Artist’.
‘The Great Escape Artist’ will be the forth album from Jane’s Addiction since 1988’s ‘Nothing Shocking’ debut and first since ‘Strays’ in 2003
The line-up for this record features original members Perry Farrell (vocals), Dave Navarro (guitars) and Stephen Perkins (drums) as well as TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek on bass.
Former Guns ‘n’ Roses bass player Duff McKagan wrote some of the songs and features on the album. For a 6 month period in 2010, he was a touring member of Jane’s Addiction.
‘The Great Escape Artist’ by Jane’s Addiction will be released in August, 2011. The band will be in Australia for Splendour In The Grass in July.
