Hardcore rock brutes Helmet are returning to Australia for the first time in three years.
The band, who staged a comeback with 2006’s Monochrome and last year’s Seeing Eye Dog, are heading down to Australia after sold-out tours in the US and Europe.
Ringleader Page Hamilton says about the link between their live show and their latest album, “It’s so important to have great musicians in this band… I can’t stand the sound and anti-human feel of edited rock music. People have always commented that we sound like our albums live. This has a lot to do with it. Humans playing music will always be better than chop shop rock so one has to find the right players.”
The band play all corners of the country, including shows in Perth, Newcastle and Wollongong.
Tickets go on sale next Friday 15 April from the venues, oztix.com.au, moshtix.com.au and other outlets.
