Viral star Rebecca Black hits the studio to work on an album, and lines up her new single ‘LOL’.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Black was vetting new singles only a week ago is already in Orange Country, California’s Flying Pig Productions studio.
She’s reportedly working on an entire album, and has been signed to music manager Debra Baum’s DB Entertainment but is yet to ink a record deal.
She has spoken about her upcoming album, saying “I would consider some [new songs] teenage love songs but I want to keep it appropriate and clean.
“People were saying, ‘You're the worst singer, this is the worst song.’ They criticized my voice and the lyrics. But I call them negative Nancies. They can try to rain on my parade but as far as I'm concerned they are raining on their own parade."
Meanwhile, ‘Friday’ has risen to number 38 on the US Singles chart and has had 67 million hits on YouTube (although she’s probably topped the most “dislikes” of any video, at 1.2 million to 154,000 “likes”).
