Canada’s most awesome of punk bands, Fucked Up, are planning the release of a fully fledged rock-motherfucking-opera.
According to a post on Matador Records site, ‘David Comes To Life’ is a “rock opera, an album set to a play.”
The label goes on to describe the album as “far more melodic than their breakthrough ‘The Chemistry of Common Life’” and says there are more female vocals to contrast their usual singer Damian Albarn’s throaty growl.
There are four singles that will precede the record, which is due out on June 7. The first one is called ‘The Other Shoe’ and you can check it out by clicking here.
