Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and country star Blake Shelton will host a new singing show.
The hook of the show The Voice, which will begin screening on NBC in a month, is that it will feature blind auditions.
That means the all-star judges will be listening with their backs to the contestants, so that only the voice matters.
In a trailer for the show, Cee-Lo insists “We’re discovering something genuine”.
Aguilera says, “You get to concentrate on nothing but the voice”.
Shelton notes, “You don’t have to worry about what someone looks like.”
And in keeping with his cheeky image, Levine reminds us, “Remember the ‘70s? There were some sketchy looking people that had gorgeous voices.”
The Voice launches on April 26 on NBC.
