Snoop Dogg has expressed interest in an American Idol-type talent show to unearth the next big rapper.
He conducted a press conference in a “gentleman’s club” in central London in an effort to plug his new album Doggumentary in the UK.
The Guardian reports that Snoop chipped in on the glut of talent shows on TV and thought he might give his own idea a shot.
He said that American Idol and X-Factor were “great shows” and he wants to weigh in with a show "straight directed to the hood … at people with no money, just talent".
He then claimed: "I'm looking for a deal from a network to find America's hottest hood artists."
Snoop also remarked, "I want to open up a supermarket chain. But I'm going to call them Snoopermarkets."
We’re presuming the Hood Idol idea is legit, though.
