In response to the Christchurch earthquake and Queensland floods, Foo Fighters have booked Brisbane and Auckland shows.
While busy kicking ass and taking names with new tunes from their forthcoming album Wasting Light, they’ve booked two exclusive all-star charity shows.
The Auckland Town Hall show will happen on Tuesday 22 March with NZ supports to be confirmed and all profits will go to the New Zealand Government’s Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
The Brisbane Riverstage show will happen on Sunday 27 March, with support from You Am I and AMP-winners Cloud Control and all profits go to the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.
Local Brisbane bands can also get on the bill by emailing info@frontiertouring.com.au with a link to your tunes this Sunday or Monday.
Tickets for the Auckland show will go on sale from 9am NZDST this Friday 18 March and will be priced between $175 and $250 with a limit of two ticket per customer from The-Edge.co.nz or 0800 BUY TICKET.
Tickets for the Brisbane show will go on sale from 9am AEST next Monday 21 March and will cost $99 with a limit of four tickets per customer from ticketmaster.com.au.
Thumbs up to everyone involved in these extra special shows and good luck to the punters and bands.
