Trumpet player Chris Botti will return to Australia in June for headlining shows for the Melbourne Jazz Festival.
Botti was last in Australia in August, 2010 for showcase gigs for his Chris Botti In Boston release.
Over the years Chris Botti has performed with Paul Simon, Bette Midler, Aretha Franklin and Sting.
His debut album ‘First Wish’ was released in 1995.
The Melbourne International Jazz Festival 2011 will feature over 400 performers playing 120 events including 46 free events.
Theire will be six world premieres this year, 20 Australian premiers, 16 festival exclusives and 12 Australian and International collaborations.
The Melbourne Jazz Festival is on from June 4 to 13, 2011.
