Folk heroes Mumford & Sons have sold a million copies of their album on both sides of the Atlantic and board a train to tour.
It’s a record last reached by Coldplay’s Vida La Viva in 2009: a UK band selling over a million copies of an album in both the US and the UK.
NME noted that the band has finally scored the sales milestone with their slow burn hit album Sigh No More.
And with that, NME reports that the band will do a week-long string of US dates in April while travelling in a vintage train.
The Railroad Revival Tour will hit California, Texas and Louisiana and will also feature support acts Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine Show
All the bands will live on the 15-carriage train, and promise to record on it as well. They’ll also be filming the ramble for a documentary.
