Florida's rustic folk punk youngsters Against Me! announce their new album.
All around the world punk fans who are more interested in gristle and heart than make-up and haircuts have gravitated to Florida's favourite sons Against Me! The quartet released their husky second and third albums 'As The Eternal Cowboy' and 'Searching For A Former Clarity' in 2003 and 2005 through independent Fat Wreck Chords.Their gritty, catchy punk rock sparked the imagination of fans jaded with the genre and also legendary industry figure, the man who signed the Ramones, Seymour Stein. He inked them to his cult Sire label in 2005, which is currently home to acts like Hot Hot Heat, H.I.M., Regina Spektor, and The Von Bondies. Ignoring sell-out catcalls, Against Me! set to work on the follow up the irresistible 'Searching For A Former Clarity' album
On the back of a US and Canada tour announcement in February and March, the band have confirmed that the album will be called 'New Wave', and was recorded under the watchful eye of Butch Vig (Nirvana, AFI, Smashing Pumpkins, Jimmy Eat World). Eager fans will have to wait until "late Spring" or around May in the US.
