Kevin ‘Bloody’ Wilson has lent his voice to ‘Little Johnny The Movie’, and in so doing is bringing the legendary Little Johnny jokes to the big screen.
Everybody has a favourite Little Johnny joke. Now a new Australian movie is turning the schoolboy humour into a motion picture.
Kevin ‘Bloody’ Wilson is Johnny’s Uncle Kevin in the movie.
The movie is a mocumentary taking us to the rural town of Victoria called Gallangatta.
The team behind ‘Strange Bedfellows’ and ‘Charlie & Boots’ came across the idea for the movie when someone told a Little Johnny joke during one of their production meetings.
The problem they had in making the movie was how to script a series of offensive jokes into something visual that would obviously make it even more offensive.
They used films from the Zucker Brothers (Flying High, Naked Gun), the Coen Brothers (Raising Arizona) and John Hughes (Uncle Buck) then mixed in the style of Chuck Jones (Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck) to achieve where they wanted to head.
They made it say “adultness” and tipped in a bit of ‘Team America’ and ‘Family Guy’
Then add comic Kevin ‘Bloody’ Wilson into the recipe and the film was ready to be made.
‘Little Johnny The Movie’ will have its world premiere as part if the 2011 Melbourne International Comedy Festival from April 1 to 24.
