Some low-life has made off with a guitar loaned to the son’s of Sherbet guitarist Harvey James for them to play at the tribute concert for their late father.
The guitar was on loan from Fender for the Gimme That Guitar concert at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre a week ago. If it is not returned, Harvey’s sons Gabe and Josh will have to pay for it.
The serial number of the guitar is #MX10169115. A reward is offered for ist return.
The Gimme That Guitar concert was originally planned as a fundraiser for Harvey who was battling lung cancer. Unfortunately, he did not live to see the show. It then became a tribute concert to raise money for the family and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne where Harvey was getting treatment.
Harvey’s old band Sherbet reunited for a rare appearance at the show. It was the last concert they will ever do together.
