The theme to the BBC news program ‘Newsnight’, which airs at 10:30pm weeknights, has had an overhaul by Jamie xx, who has been on a remixing rampage of late.
The remix doesn’t chance the crux of the song much. The epic horn section is still there, but a little bit of reverb is added and a cool beat.

In other Jamie xx remix news, the remixed version of his collaborative album with Gil Scott-Heron hit stores this week. It goes by the name of ‘We’re New Here’ and consists of remixes of Scott-Heron’s first studio album in sixteen years, ‘I’m New Here’ from last year. A word from the wise, the remixed version is filled with beats that will leave your brain frantically trying to make sense of the sensation it is hearing.
