Following a tweet in Japanese, with a time and place, Radiohead’s people shiftily deny they’ll appear in Tokyo.
The band tweeted in Japanese yesterday, which was translated by eager fans as “Hachiko Square, Shibuya 18:59”.
Hachiko Square borders on Tokyo’s most infamous neon-lit intersection in Shibuya, famous for the hordes of people going through the scramble crossing.
Sounds like quite a place to, maybe, shoot a video.
Thing is, Radiohead’s people have responded to speculation, a spokesperson telling NME, “The band will not be in Japan tomorrow so people should not go to Shibuya expecting to see the band in person”.
That sounds rather evasive – the band won’t be there in person but it’s not to say something Radiohead-related won’t be happening there.
All may be revealed when they launch their new album The King Of Limbs on Saturday.
