Applications for The Seed Fund for aspiring creatives and managers have opened for 2011.
The project, an arts funding program started by John Butler in 2005, endeavours to develop musicians and industry professionals with grants and training.
In its seventh year The Seed Fund have announced a new Publicity category for managers who have come through the Seed Management Workshop program and the Art For The Public/Next Wave category aimed at visual artists in conjunction with the Next Wave festival.
There are three grants in the Publicist category and a single grant of up to $7,500 for visual artists to develop a large-scale public work for the 2012 Next Wave festival.
They continue their management workshops and indigenous Seed/Skinnyfish Support Life through Music grant.
