Garbage will come out of hiatus next week to play a cancer benefit gig for drummer Wally 'Llama' Ingram.
Ingram has performed with Sheryl Crow, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, David Linley, Keb' Mo' and Eric Burdon. He is suffering from throat cancer. As reported in Undercover in December, Garbage will perform at the show along with Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Burdon, Joey Santiago and David Lovering from The Pixies and special guests.
The event will take place at the Alex Theater in Glendale, California on January 31st.
Garbage has been on hiatus since the release of their 2005 album 'Bleed Like Me'.
The Ingram benefit is the beginning of the next phase of Garbage. The band will be going back into the studio next month to record two new songs for a greatest hits album.
It is unsure as to how active they will be after the album is released as lead singer Shirley Manson will also release her debut solo album this year.
