Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has announced the two stars of the Australian production his new musical Love Never Dies.
Anna O’Byrne will play Christine. Ben Lewis will play The Phantom.
Anna O’Byrne knows Christine well. She was the understudy for the character in the last production of The Phantom of the Opera performing opposite Anthony Warlow. She was trained at the Victorian College of the Arts and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance (Honours) in Classical Voice in 2008.
Ben Lewis studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and graduated in 2004. He has previously appeared in Priscilla Queen of the Desert – The Musical and Spamalot.
The Australian production of Love Never Dies is the first outside of London. It will debut at The Regent Theatre in Melbourne in May, 2011.
