Much talked-about UK producer/singer James Blake is on the verge of releasing his debut album.
The post-dubstep minimalist with a haunting voice has been one of the most buzzworthy artists of the last year.
He has released three EPs that critics in the UK and the US have praised for their delicate electronica and eerie vocals.
His debut self-titled album has been hailed as the one to watch in 2011 by a fair few outlets, and judging by tracks we’ve heard, it’s certainly intriguing.
The album will be released in the UK on February 7 and has just picked up a US distributor in Universal Republic (home to Winehouse and Florence and The Machine).
James Blake will be released in Australia on February 18 through Polydor/Universal. He will also showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas in March.
