Canadian indie champs Metric will release an exclusive iTunes Originals EP.
The revered new wave-y, indie-ish quartet have recorded an eight-track live session exclusively for iTunes at East West Studios in Los Angeles.
They promise extended versions, new arrangements, and a melancholy cover of Buffalo Springfield’s ‘Expecting To Fly’ with a string quartet.
The release will include eight songs and a half hour interview with the band.
As a teaser the band have offered up a clip from their video collaborator Christopher Mills.
Mills worked on a short film for their song ‘Collect Call’ and Metric singer Emily Haynes reveals that he “continued the narrative with his gorgeous video for our cover of Neil Young/Buffalo Springfield's ‘Expecting to Fly’”.
Have a look and listen to his trippy clip here.
Metric’s ‘iTunes Originals Sessions’ will be available online from February 15.
