Haircut 100 have reunited and will perform their 1982 album ‘Pelican West’ for the very first time live tonight in London (January 28, 2011).
The original line-up featuring Nick Heyward, Graham Jones, Leslie Nemes and Blair Cunningham will crank out the album live at IndigO2 onstage from 9pm.
‘Pelican West’ reached number 2 on the British chart in 1982. It contained the no. 4 British hit ‘Favorite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl), no. 3 ‘Love Plus One’ and no. 9 hits ‘Fantastic Day’ and ‘Nobody’s Fool’.
Nick Heyward formed Haircut 100 in 1980. In 1983, he left his band to go solo and for another year they continued on with Mark Fox on vocals.
Haircut 100 reunited in 204 for the VH1 series ‘Bands Reunited’ They got together again briefly in 2009 for a one-off gig in London.
Tonight’s show is part of their first tour more than 25 years. The show will be recorded for a live CD, available for fans 10 minutes after the show.
