Trent Reznor has christened the next Nine Inch Nails album 'Year Zero' and has allocated an April release for the record.
In a statement at the Nine Inch Nails website, Reznor says "Is it possible I am actually finished writing and recording a new nine inch nails record? Apparently so. We begin mixing in January. Juggling fifteen all-new tracks around. Testing sequences. No leftovers from "with teeth". Highly conceptual. Quite noisy. Fucking cool".In a letter to fansite The Spiral, Reznor also cleared up some misconceptions about the record. "This is not a f**king hip hop record, for fuckk's sake. I imagine my referring to old Public Enemy records as an influence and the fact I'm working with [Rapper] Saul [Williams] sparked that".
Reznor says 'Year Zero' is the best thing he has ever done, but then again, who doesn't say that about their next record.
