Matt Corby, Jackie Barnes and Eightball Aitken are three of the names shortlisted for the 2011 APRA Professional Development Awards.
Finalists in the categories Popular Contemporary, Classical, Jazz, Indigenous, Country and Film & Television were announced today.
APRA’s Professional Development Awards are held every two years in conjunction with music organizations and institutions involved in the representation or education of Australian music creators.
2500 entries were received for the 2011 awards. Eight finalists will be selected to each receive a prize valued at over $25000 made up of cash, travel, education and recognition.
The 2011 Professional Development Award winners will be announced on March 14, 2011.
