Norwegian electro-rockers Datarock are releasing a ludicrously jam-packed single in March.
The new song ‘Catcher In The Rye’ is just the tip of the extras iceberg.
Pitchfork reports that the single will come with a designer toy, a USB with 110 bonus tracks, 1500 photos, 20 videos and an hour-long documentary.
The 110 bonus tracks are effectively the group’s entire back catalogue – their first two albums, rarities, their new album, and the ‘single’ EP.
The five song single is also downloadable by itself.
So the ‘most extravagant single in history’ is more like ‘Datarock’s new album and an EP, with everything they’ve ever done thrown in for good measure’.
It will be self-released through their website in March.
