Noiseworks and one-time INXS singer Jon Stevens was ejected from a Jetstar flight yesterday but says the airline was out of line.
Stevens was heading to Brisbane from Perth to perform at a flood benefit concert.
Just before take-off he moved to an empty row of seats but was told to move back. Stevens did what he was told but questioned the decision. That was enough for a Jetstar steward to rule he was unco-operative and was breaching safety regulations.
The plane taxied back to the terminal and Stevens was removed by two federal police officers.
Jetstar placed a 24-hour ban on the singer. He then boarded a Virgin Blue flight to Brisbane and made the flood fundraiser in time.
