After cancellations, reschedules and hiccups, hip-hop star Mos Def is most definitely on his way to Australia.
Promoters Peace Music are putting all the rumours to rest, and setting up the shows for sure, after a very shaky start to Mos Def’s Australian tour.
They said in a statement this morning, “While the tour’s arrived later than we intended, we like to think that some things are worth waiting for and we hope that Mos Def’s legion of Australian fans agree”.
“Mos’ previously cancelled Melbourne performance has now been re-confirmed at Billboards The Venue on Sunday 30th January, we’re extremely happy that we were able to follow through on our commitment to the Melbourne fans who’d previously bought tickets to this show”.
Mos Def’s touring party are already in Melbourne and the man himself is on a plane right now from LA, arriving in time for his first appearance at tonight’s Hot BBQ Festival.
