Pink has topped the list of most played artists on radio until June 2010, according to the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA).
Pink was ahead of Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Rob Thomas and David Guetta in the Top 5.
Powerfinger was the most played Australian act and appears on the chart at no. 6. Jet was at 7 followed by Kings of Leon, Nickelback and Vanessa Amorosi.
Dan Rosen, CEO of ARIA and PPCA, said “It’s fantastic to see such a large number of new and established Australian acts feature in both the Most Played Artist and Recording Reports. It’s a credit to all of the artists hard work and a wonderful showcase of the quality of music currently coming out of the Australian music scene”, said Rosen.
PPCA distributed a record $20 million to artists for the financial year ending in June 2010.
