The Vines have revealed details of their fifth album and stream their first single.
According to triple j, the album will be called Future Primitive and feature a title track, as well as songs called ‘Gimme Love’ and ‘Black Dragon.
It was recorded in Paris with Chris Colonna, who is best known for his hip-hop pastiche act The Bumblebeez but who has also produced music for Wolf & Cub and Young And Restless.
Some songs have apparently been floating around since late-2009, and the album was recorded almost a year ago, in February and March of 2010.
Future Primitive will be release in April.
The first single, ‘Gimme Love’ has been uploaded by TMNOnline, so have a listen.
