Renowned music photographer and director Anton Corbjin has shot more than a dozen photos for the new R.E.M. album cover ‘Collapse Into Now’.
‘Collapse Into Now’ is the 15th studio album from the Athens, Georgia rock band.
Corbjin has designed album covers for Metallica, Nick Cave, The Rolling Stones and U2. U2’s ‘Joshua Tree’ cover for Corbjin’s work.
His first feature film was ‘Control’, the story of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis.
R.E.M.’s ‘Collapse Into You’ was recorded with producer Jacknife Lee (who is also currently working on the upcoming album for The Cars ‘69’. He also produced R.E.M.’s last album ‘Accelerate’.
‘Collapse Into Now’ features guest appearances from Eddie Vedder, Patti Smith and Peaches.
The album will be released in March.
