The Black Keys and Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend fight for Stephen Colbert’s Grammy vote.
Stephen Colbert won a Grammy last year for his album A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All, so he now gets to vote for this year’s awards.
After cracking a few Bieber gags during yesterday's Colbert Report, he turned his attention to Best Alternative Album and brought out Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend and Dan Auerbach and Pat Carney from the Black Keys.
They had a “sell-out off” to see who had their music in the most commercials – Vampire Weekend’s music appearing in ads for Honda, Tommy Hilfiger and Hewlett Packard, and Black Keys’ featuring in ads for jewellers Zales, Victoria’s Secret and Sony Ericsson.
Then the baseball bats and nunchuks came out.
