M.I.A. sneaks out a new EP and Of Montreal declare one on the way.
Electro-noise-mash pioneer M.I.A. is no stranger to banging out bits and pieces on the internet in a very future-forward manner.
A couple of weeks after dropping the ‘Vicki Leekx’ mixtape, she has just released a new remix EP of her track ‘Internet Connection’ from last year’s MAYA.
‘Internet Connection: The Remixes’ features four versions - from Flux Pavilion, Buraka Som Sistema, Huoratron, and Tony Senghore - and is available now on iTunes and Amazon.
At the same time, Georgia indie peacocks Of Montreal announced that they’ll release an EP called ‘Controller Sphere’ towards the middle of the year.
The songs on ‘Controller Sphere’ were reportedly written at the same time as the songs from their most recent album ‘False Priest’.
Of Montreal also spoke to Spin about already getting to work on their next album, with three songs already in the bag.
