Jane’s Addiction have announced that TV On The Radio guitarist Dave Sitek has joined the “creative team”.
His addition on bass and “creativity” just adds to Sitek’s many projects.
Last year he released his collaborative solo debut under the name of Maximum Balloon, and continues his producer role which has included Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Foals.
Now he’s on board to help create what frontman Perry Farrell and called “modern music” for the forthcoming Jane’s Addition album.
Farrell said in a press release, “Dave, Steve and I are fully immersed in the process of making modern music. It has been a great experience thus far, and the results have so much potential.”
This follows the departure of ex-Gunner Duff McKagan, who left to focus on his own side projects.
Who knows if Sitek’s involvement will continue after the studio input. If McKagan can’t juggle two projects, how could Sitek juggle more?
