Brothers Josh and Zac Farro have announced they are leaving the band Paramore, leaving the rest of the band unsurprised.
In a statement posted on the band’s official website, the remaining members said they supported the brothers in their decision to leave.
“A couple of months ago, Josh and Zac let us know they would be leaving the band after our show in Orlando last Sunday,” the statement read. “None of us were really shocked. For the last year it hasn't seemed as if they wanted to be around anymore. We want Josh and Zac to do something that makes them happy and if that isn't here with us, then we support them finding happiness elsewhere.”
Remaining members Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor issued a plea to fans to stick with them, assuring them that the knowledge of their “unified passion and clear vision makes us feel stronger than ever.”
There is no word as of yet to who will be taking over lead guitar and drums.
The band have been touring in support of their third album ‘Brand New Eyes’ since late 2009 and they’re not finished yet. They are set to kick off their South American tour in February. Check them out at:
