We've all known it's been coming, but finally there's a release date for 'The Weirdness'.
You'll be able to buy it in stores from the week beginning March 3 (March 5 in Europe/U.K. and March 6 in the USA).The album features three of the four original Stooges members, with Mike Watt (ex Minutemen) replacing Dave Alexander, who died from pneumonia in Ann Arbour, MI in 1975.
The reformed Stooges have previously released four tracks on Iggy Pop's solo album 'Skull Ring', which also features songs with Green Day and Sum 41 as his backing band.
Their Australian tour in January last year (the first ever for the band) almost universally made it in critics top shows of 2006 and reviewers all over the world have recalibrated their tastes accordingly.
The band play South by Southwest in Austin, TX this March.
