The annual St Kilda Festival has scored an impressive first line-up.
Following his brother’s incredible performance at Meredith last weekend, it’s edifying to see that Crowded House and Split Enz legend Tim Finn has been announced as the headliner.
Two white-hot electro-soul divas Kimbra and Paris Wells have also been announced.
Then there’s Brisbane tropical pop champs Hungry Kids Of Hungary, psych-rock sisters Stonefield, jazzy beauty Kate Vigo, and brassy pop kids The Vaudeville Smash. Also announced are The Medics and July Days.
More will be announced in January, as they promise over 90 acts.
There will also be an outdoor screening of a documentary about Australia’s indigenous supergroup Black Arm Band called Murundak: Songs Of Freedom, a new dance stage, poetry, theatre and musicians forums.
The legendary St Kilda Fest takes over the bayside suburb on February 5 and 6.
