Peter Noble has announced that Grace Jones is his latest score for Bluesfest 2011.
“We usually unveil a group of artists in one go but Ms Jones warrants her very own announcement,” Peter said in a statement.
"A live showstopper, musical powerhouse, enigma and inspiration to so many artists from Annie Lennox to Lady Gaga, Grace Jones in concert is spectacular from first to last," he continues. "There’s just nobody quite like her – one of the most recognisable faces on the planet, she’s the woman that launched a million haircuts, she’s had Arnold Schwarzenegger complaining about being too tough on the set of Conan The Destroyer, and when she walks down the street, traffic stops!”
“If pop music is the preserve of the young, well… nobody told Grace Jones – maybe they were too scared?”
