The Bluesfest line-up has expanded a little bigger today with Little Feat added to the bill.
Bluesfest 2011 boasts the biggest line-up ever seen on an Australian festival with Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Grace Jones, Z.Z. Top, Jethro Tull and Elvis Costello also lined for this year’s event.
Also added today, Osibisa, Fishbone, Cecila Noel, Leah Flanagan, Kim Churchill, Grace Woodroofe, The Red Eyes, Lowrider, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Jack Thompson & The Original Sinners, Bayjah, The Aggrolites, Wagons, Resin Dogs and Yodelice.
“I’m often asked: how does Bluesfest keep growing while staying fresh and relevant?,” promoter Peter Noble said in a statement. “Well, we keep it simple with such great artists you cannot sit still to, who pump up the feel good factor, and who represent the finest musicianship on earth. One look across the 2011 Bluesfest lineup, and well, it ain’t surprising that some industry pundits are asking: ‘Hang on, could this be the best festival lineup in Australian history???’”
Grace Jones has also added a new date for April 26.
Bluesfest dates are April 21-26 at Byron Bay.
